Mourne Veterans Hub

Situated in Kilkeel at Reivers House - an Ulster-Scots centre shared with Mourne Action for Survivors of Terrorism (MAST) - the Mourne Veterans Hub is a cornerstone of the local community. They provide a secure and comfortable environment where veterans and their families engage in daily activities, projects, and events.

The hub has a proud history of supporting the Armed Forces community. They work closely with the Kilkeel Royal British Legion, the UDR, and Royal Irish Regiment Associations, and have raised substantial funds for charities like Help for Heroes, Blesma, and SSAFA. Their community footprint is vast: from organising Remembrance Sunday services and guarding the Cenotaph, to delivering educational workshops in schools using WW1 Silhouettes supported by the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust.

Whether it's producing exhibitions on local soldiers, creating the Mountains of Mourne Spitfire mural, participating in community radio broadcasts, or hosting the famous 'D-Day Darlings' at their annual Reivers Festival, they are deeply committed to telling the story of those who served.
